🎤 The Art of Offering Custom Experiences

Here and there, people talk about “Personalization”. Content creators, marketers, and designers evaluate the possibilities to handle custom scenarios while offering powerful experiences to the users. Nobody wants to offer a Mr. Spock t-shirt to a Star Wars fan. And we, the developers, have some ways to help with that. Let’s talk about personalization, the benefits, the challenges, and how we can manage and offer personalized experiences in our projects. We will dive deeper in one of the common scenarios we face when customizing content: Localization. Let’s also introduce the concept of “Headless CMS”, a platform that will help people to manage experiences for different types of audience.

Building More with Less: The Foundation of a One-Size-Fits-All Stack

The beauty of composable web architectures is that you can piece your stack together however you’d like. It’s sort of like designing your dream house. You want 13 bathrooms? Sure. You do you. Like designing a house, we often architect our web stacks for the future. We choose tools designed for complexity because we’re betting that our needs will require solutions built for complexity in the future. Those 13 bathrooms aren’t for today. They’re for all the kids or cats you will have in the future. Fortunately, we no longer need to plan this way. Architecting a web stack doesn’t have to be like designing a house. Instead of designing a stack built for scale, we can look for tools built to scale—those that perfectly suit our needs today and will stick with us in the future. This approach helps us lead with simplicity, even as challenges rise in complexity.
